This idea began in the late 30’s and has adapted from shoemaking and repairs by Alfred Wuerth. He and his wife Lucilla owned and operated Wuerth’s Shoes in its original location in Exeter Ontario from 1938 – 1964

Second Generation ...
Over the next twenty years, from the same location in Exeter Ontario, Rey Wuerth and his wife Willa moved the shoe repair business toward retail sales of footwear, skates, roller-skates, and accessories.

Today, Wuerth’s Shoes still remains in the original Exeter building, with long term locations in Goderich and Stratford as well. Visit one of our three locations to have your feet measured and receive guidance from our trained staff for your next footwear purchase.
Third Generation ...
In the early 80’s Rey’s son John and his wife Linda took over the family business and began to grow from the original location expanding to Stratford and Goderich with additional locations.

Fourth Generation ...
In 2005, John and Linda’s Daughter Sarah, joined her parent’s in the shoe business as a Certified Pedorthist providing orthotics and specialty fittings as well as integration, a social media presence, and ecommerce online sales.
